Research at the intersection of the microbiome and cancer at the University of Minnesota
After a successful inaugural event, we are proud to bring back the Microbiome and Cancer Symposium in 2022.
The goal of this meeting is to showcase the exciting research at the intersection of the microbiome and cancer at the University of Minnesota, to highlight potential new opportunities, and spark synergies between researchers across relevant fields of expertise.
The target audience for this meeting are University of Minnesota researchers, scientists, and clinicians working in the cancer research field who are interested in adding microbiome investigation to their research portfolio and microbiome researchers interested in leveraging their skills for cancer research. Those already developing research programs combining these fields are also strongly encouraged to attend. We regret that external persons are not able to attend.
University of Minnesota community is invited to submit an abstract to be considered for a poster presentation and/or a flash talk during the event. External submissions will not be considered.
Abstract submissions will open in June 2022 and close August 31, 2022. Abstract submissions are open now and will close on August 31, 2022. Notifications on selected abstracts for posters and flash talks will be made by September 9, 2022.
Abstract submissions do not have to be at the intersection of the microbiome and cancer, but can be solely focused on the microbiome or solely focused on cancer. You will be asked to describe a potential application of future work at the intersection of the microbiome and cancer.
